Data Labeling using Dataset

This section provides information on how to label the data using Dataset in Graph UX. To label data using Dataset, follow these steps:

  1. Create a label track.
  2. Define the classes in the label track.
  3. Open a session and add labels to the data.

How to create a label track and define the classes?

  1. Double-click the Dataset to open and click the Tracks tab.
  2. Click Add Label Track to create a label track. A label track with the default name labels is created.
  3. Click the label track name to edit the default label track name, if required. Click outside the label box to save the change.
  4. Click Add Label to add a class to the label track. Similarly, add all the required classes in the track. To remove a class, click the Remove icon next to the class you want to remove.

How to label data in a session?

  1. Go to the Sessions tab, double-click the session file in which you want to add labels. The session opens in the timeline view as a separate tab.

  2. Click and drag the mouse to select the part of the data you want to label.

  3. Right-click the selected region, select Add Label, and then select the class from the list. The selected class is added as a label to the data.

  4. Drag the label edges to adjust the label length, or drag the entire label to move the label to a new position. You can also copy the labels to other parts of the data. Right-click the label, select Copy, then right-click the target location and select Paste label. Adjust the pasted label as needed. To delete a label, right-click the label and select Delete Label.

  5. Similarly, add other classes as labels to the data. You can also open other sessions from the session list and add labels.


Managing labels

After you have added labels you can edit or delete the labels, whenever required.

2. Drag the sizing handles on the sides of the label to the desired length.
Move a label1. Select the label you want to move.
2. Drag the label to the desired position.

Right-click the label, select Cut, then right-click the desired position and select Paste.
Delete a label1. Select the label you want to delete.
2. Right-click the label and select Delete.
OR
Press the Delete key.

Managing Tracks in timeline view

You can perform the following actions on a label track in the timeline view:

View track settingsClick the Settings icon next to the track name to open the track settings.
Change the chart typeRight-click the track, select Chart Type, and choose how to visualize the data: Audio, Video, Line, Stacked Area, or Heatmap.

After labeling the data, you can now follow the standard machine learning workflow to train the model. To train the model for this dataset, click To Training Project button. To know more, refer to Exporting data to a training project from Dataset Node.
